Production Coordinator
(Residential Roofing)
Location: Hybrid (including travel between Onslow, Carteret, Craven, and Jones counties).
Position: Residential Roofing Production Coordinator
Salary: $40,000–$60,000 Annually
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Scheduling
Plan and manage weekly build schedules for roof replacements, repairs, and specialty projects.
Coordinate material ordering and delivery including shingles, metal panels, ice & water shield, ridge vents, lead boots, skylights, chimney caps, siding, soffits, and related materials.
Ensure materials are delivered on time and staged correctly prior to job start.
Adjust schedules as needed due to weather, inspections, or crew availability.
Field & Job Execution
Review scopes of work to ensure crews clearly understand job expectations.
Verify measurements and product details (chimney caps, pipe boots, skylights, siding quantities, etc.) to prevent misorders.
Ensure jobs meet local building code, manufacturer installation standards, and IBHS FORTIFIED requirements where applicable.
Step into the field to support builds when necessary or when multiple projects are running simultaneously.
Team Leadership
Supervise the site supervisor and field crews.
Ensure crews understand job scopes, expectations, and quality standards.
Reinforce accountability for attendance, communication, and job performance.
Customer & Internal Communication
Coordinate with ownership and sales regarding job schedules and homeowner expectations.
Serve as a point of contact for homeowners regarding build dates and production timelines when needed.
Participate in weekly production meetings to review upcoming work and address issues.
Systems & Operations
Utilize JobNimbus to track production schedules, materials, and job progress.
Assist in developing production checklists, ordering processes, and job workflows.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining quality.
What We’re Looking For:
Required
Strong roofing industry experience
Experience coordinating jobs, scheduling crews, and ordering materials
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Comfortable communicating with both crews and homeowners
Valid driver's license
Preferred
Metal roofing experience
Leadership or supervisory experience in roofing or construction
Familiarity with JobNimbus or similar CRM systems
Experience with IBHS FORTIFIED roofing standards
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role combining office/remote work with regular jobsite visits.
Planning, scheduling, and communication may be done remotely.
Field presence will be required during builds, inspections, or when crews need support.
As Think Roofing continues to grow and establish an office, the role will transition to a hybrid office/field schedule.
This position is best suited for someone comfortable working in a fast-growing company where responsibilities evolve as we scale.
Compensation
Salary: $40,000 – $60,000 per year (based on experience)
Bonus eligible
90-day probationary period with opportunity for review and pay adjustment
